The Gnome desktop environment sits like a glove for me. The actual key things for me in Fedora was that it offers built-in OCI image support, is built for developers in mind and has many open source tools available. So far I have not countered any bugs and the last upgrade from 32 to 33 went smoothly. I really like how every Fedora release brings something new on board and does it very well. Firefox and other browsers are under heavy usage. These also include web applications, DB's, key-value storages etc Ruby, Type-/JavaScript, Elixir languages and related CLI tooling.Below is a few key technologies what I use This includes front- and backend development, Terraform scripts, CI configuration via yml-files etc. Note: This is the setup what I use everywhere and is my personal configurationĪs a software engineer I do web development for most of my time. Today I'm sharing my own development environment with you with all the dot-files so you can also try it out! For each tools I have listed the reasons I use that particular tool. That was about 7-8 months ago, and during the last 6 months I've been tweaking my setup to become even more productive. and I read a lot of articles of how using (Neo)Vim can boost your productivity and be blazing fast when working with code. Some folks were using VSCode, Vim, Emacs etc. After a while I was intrigued of the productivity side of things. The first impressions were just like "Okay, this looks nice" and installed VSCode along with other tools I used back then. I decided to first try out Fedora on my personal home PC and install it alongside of Windows 10. That raised my interest enough to start exploring the opportunities on the Linux side of things, since before this I had only Windows or MacOS machines. You can find my dotfiles in the repo linked below. This article is based on Neovim 0.4.4 without the new LSP!ĭuring first years of my software engineering career I noticed that most of my co-workers were using Fedora, Ubuntu, Manjaro etc. I use GNU Stow to manage my configurations. It has some great features which you can find on the website which lead me to use it over zsh and bash. I use multiple tmux sessions for every project and recommend a lot of people to use it. I use iTerm2 but I've heard of Kitty and Alacritty as pretty good alternatives. I am a person, who's always on my terminal, especially cause of the fact that I use neovim as my primary code editor. ![]() If you're a beginner, I highly recommend starting with VSCode and maybe use the vim extension if you want to start learning vim.

![]() Every square inch of metal is original, and the seller says there is no plastic or Bondo. The dry climate has protected the classic steel, with no history of rust or prior accident damage. I usually avoid describing any classic as perfect, but this SS is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time. I would wager it spends its downtime in this garage, helping to protect it from the New Mexico sun that can wreak havoc on paint. The overall impression is positive, with the paint shining beautifully and no evidence of issues with the vinyl or stripes. Its Midnight Bronze paint is a subtle shade contrasted by the Beige vinyl top and matching hood stripes. But so too is the pick, and immediately you are aware of how this guitar really is a hybrid, facilitating fusion lines that skirt between jazz, classical and Latin styles, with a sound that makes sense of them all.īut this hybrid steel-meets-nylon design is not only highly practical, it's also classy looking and has an appealing feel - plus some excellent and highly adaptable, realistic sounds. Those options first manifest themselves in how you want to play the guitar. Noodling alone at home is fine this will do for practising, when, after all, it’s usually better the fewer people can hear you. Not to mention that strumming this acoustically does not deliver the full-blooded voice of any acoustic we have played. The controls, the body’s subtle rib contour and neck heel, the proportions and how that body sits nicely balanced whether on a strap or seated, and the output jack, mounted on the side of the instrument as opposed to an end-pin jack/strap button, all point to an electric. The bridge, the finish, the neck feel – the string feel – and the slotted headstock all give you that acoustic nylon-string vibe. With a 16” fingerboard radius and a 48mm nut width, the Stage offers a thinner platform for players. Hitherto, such bold new designs have largely been introduced at a pro price point, but, tellingly, Córdoba is debuting the Stage at a budget-friendly price point, aimed at amateurs and jobbing pros, who want no fuss, no feedback, no quack from their amplified nylon-string tones.Īrriving when next-gen guitar heroes such as Tim Henson and Scott LePage of Polyphia are leading a pop-cultural resurgence in the nylon-string guitar, the Stage’s timing could not be better.
